Protected Designation of Origin (PDO)

The PDO is the highest European quality label, confirming that a food product originates from a specific geographical area and possesses qualities directly linked to the environment and tradition of that region.
For olive oil, the PDO designation means that the olives are grown, processed, and bottled exclusively within a defined area and that the oil meets strict requirements regarding quality, production processes, and origin.
